Track Review: Abbe May - Karmageddon

Abbe May will release the first single off her upcoming album Kiss My Apocalypse on the 10th of November. The Australian based artist is another member of the independent/MGM label distribution style that seems to be taking the underground music scene by storm in Australia. May has seen moderate success from her album Design Desire, and she hopes to replicate this success with her pre-release single "Karmageddon".

Full track and video will become available soon, I promise. "Karmageddon" is a move from May's guitar driven sounds to a punk-like aesthetic. I'm straight up hearing some EMA right here in this recording. The distorted guitar is outdone gracefully by the synthesizer and the layers of noise on the chorus. May's vocal is straight up straight-faced and there’s no messing. Good vocal, good lyrics and a well-orchestrated composition of psych-pop.
